10/11/2023 - Many visitors at the Anuga fair

The Anuga fair has now become an established name. With approximately 8,000 exhibitors and 170,000 visitors from more than 200 countries, this is the largest food fair in the world.

As a global player in the dessert market, we had to be present. The ideal way to personally meet our many customers from all over the world and to present and taste our innovations.


9/7/2023 - Beldessert launches a new product: the pumpkin spice lava cake

The slow and steady end of summer is only made more bittersweet once all of the fall-flavoured foods start hitting store shelves and restaurant menus. And then we're living in pumpkin spiced world for months until Christmas. But now you can embrace this season and also indulge the glorious pumpkin lava cakes!

These flavourful lava cakes are a perfect autumn dessert treat. The orange coloured cake is airy and has a rich pumkin taste while the centre is a creamy and smooth pumpkin filling. A dash of pumpkin spice was added to create the perfect fall treat.

These lava cakes can be prepared quickly without thawing. The perfect dessert to enjoy with friends and family. So even if halloween might sound scary,  this pumpkin lava cakes takes your Halloween treats to a delicous, and surprising fun level.


6/21/2023 - The product ‘PLUS tastiest muffin – (our) maple pecan’ - is Chosen Private Label Product of the Year 2023 in Holland

During the seventeenth edition of the election 'The Chosen Product of the Year', 55 innovative and private label products were tested and rated by consumers.

The research, including product testing, takes place in a home situation among +/- 120 families. The tester goes to the store, buys the product and tests it at home. The research was conducted under the guidance of NielsenIQ and the treetz app. It is based on the assessment of approximately 500 target consumers who buy the product of have a buying intention. They assessed the products based on their innovative character, their degree of attractiveness, customer satisfaction and purchase intention. Result :  55 products were selected for their innovative and seductive character.

One of those chosen ones is our maple peacan muffin that we sell under the PLUS private label in the Netherlands. The logo will be on the packaging for one year.


5/17/2023 - Beldessert launches a new product: the speculoos lava cake

Speculoos, with its distinctive spicy taste and crispy texture, is one of the most popular sweet ingredients in Belgian cuisine. At Galana, we have combined the taste of this speculoos with the smoothness of our classic lava cake to create a delicious dessert that will surprise you with every bite.

Our master-bakers have managed to find the perfect balance between the softness a the speculoos cake and the punch of the caramelized, almost golden speculoos filling inside. This moelleux is available for both retail (frozen and fresh department) and for the food service channel. Like the other lava cakes in our range, it can be prepared very easily and quickly in the microwave or oven.


3/16/2023 - Bronze medal prix innovation Horecatel 2023 for our plant-based lava cake and nutriscore A lava cake

And the prices keep coming. Beldessert has now also won the bronze medal at the 'Concours Prix Innovation' at the largest Horeca fair in Wallonia: Horecatel. On March 12th, the final prizes were awarded during the first day of the fair.

Our vegan chocolate lava cake and the nutriscore A lava cakes took third prize. We are once again very pleased with this recognition that we are now also receiving in the south of our country.

This also gives us extra visibility during this fair and clients can get acquainted with these innovative ready-to-serve desserts.


2/10/2023 - Horeca Tradefair Bredene – 2023 edition again a great success

On Monday, February 6, 2023, ‘Horecabeurs Bredene’ opened its doors for the 14th time. During the four-day fair at the Meeting and Event Center Staf Versluys in Bredene, professionals had the opportunity to discover the latest innovations in the hospitality sector.

We were also present with a beautiful stand and as the winner of the Heureka! Award 2023 we were really were in the spotlight. The ideal way for old and new contacts to try and taste our big winner: the plant-based lava cake – lava cake for everyone!


1/24/2023 - Beldessert wins Heureka Award with new plant-based lava cake.


Very good news!!!!! Beldessert WON THE HEUREKA AWARD 2023. The prize is awarded by Horecabeurs Bredene to the most innovative and original products or services in food service. A professional jury made a selection from all entries and the final winner was announced on 18 January.

Our vegan chocolate moelleux has therefore won first prize. We are of course very proud. After many positive reactions during workshops and trade fairs, once again proof that Beldessert offers innovative, promising but above all tasty products and that this plant-based moelleux has a lot of potential.


1/23/2023 - Marca fair in Italy again a success


Over 900 exhibitors were present at the nineteenth edition of Marca by BolognaFiere (18th and 19th January 2023), the only Italian fair dedicated to the private label. Galana-Beldessert was also present with a booth. 

The ideal way to personally meet our numerous customers in Italy and to show our innovations such as the plant-based lava cakes, the healthy chocolate lava cake (nutriscore A) and our brand new pumpkin spice lava cakes to potential private label clients.

10/17/2022 - Nutriscore A moelleux selected by Jury Sial Innovation

We are honoured to announce that our new Nutriscore A chocolate lava cake has been selected by the SIAL Innovation jury. The SIAL Innovation is a competition organized by SIAL Paris, which rewards exhibitors with promising and particularly innovative ideas. 

A lot of visitors and journalist were welcomed at our booth and tried this absolutely delicious chocolate dessert with -30% calories, -35% fat, -96% sugar and and 7x more fibres - in short : Guilt-free indulgence !

6/20/2022 - The new lava cake with nutriscore A was also well received by the trade in Belgium.

The JAVA fair is the foodservice fair par excellence and is known for its warm atmosphere. Customers can get acquainted with new trends, new products and new concepts. With Beldessert, we responded by introducing our brand new lava cake with nutriscore A at the fair beginning of June. The importance of a balanced diet is important, also for social catering in hospitals and care institutions, etc. With its low fat and sugar content, this fiber-rich lava cake can be perfectly put on the menu as a guilty pleasure. In any case, the visitors to our stand were super enthusiastic.


5/31/2022 - Beldessert presents new product at PLMA in Amsterdam.

For more than 30 years, producers and traders have met at the PLMA fair in Amsterdam, the largest international private label fair. This year, the fair took place on May 31st and June 1st.

Galana – Beldessert is also present again and had big news. A new product was developed especially for the fair, which we think can become a real hit. The first reactions were already promising.
